Wetherspoon has made it even easier for customers with coeliac disease to choose gluten-free meals from its menu.

Article date: 02 May 2008

The company offers more than 20 menu items, produced with gluten-free ingredients, including some in its children’s menu.

Now, it has specifically taken all of the gluten-free meals, featuring on the main menu, and collated them in a special gluten-free menu.

The gluten-free menu is available on this Web site here. It is also featured on the Coeliac UK Web site: www.coeliac.org.uk

Among the gluten-free meals highlighted are BBQ chicken melt; pork loin steaks; chicken korma (children’s menu); lamb rogan josh; mint chocolate ice cream bombe – for dessert.

Wetherspoon’s food-development manager, Jameson Robinson, said: “At least one in 100 people is estimated to suffer from coeliac disease in the UK.

“We are keen to offer those people as wide a choice of meals as possible – and that is borne out by our gluten-free menu.

“We have won praise from Coeliac UK for including so many menu items produced with gluten-free ingredients.
