Pub History
The 1864 map of Weymouth shows a brewery on part of the site now occupied by this Wetherspoon pub. The brewery later became The Swan Inn, which stood here until the 1970s.
This pub was previously the separate premises of numbers 41, 42 and 43. From the 1920s until the 1940s, number 43 is listed as being occupied by a cycle, wireless and wardrobe dealer; number 42 traded as 'refreshment rooms' and number 41 was The Swan Inn. The pub, which dates from Victorian times, seems to have been demolished around 1970.
