Russell Street and nearby John Street are both named after Lord John Russell, who is also remembered in the name of this Wetherspoon pub. Lord Russell was MP for Stroud and also the architect of the Great Reform Act of 1832.
The pub was previously Stroud's main post office. This was not the first such building in the town, or even in the same street.
We show live subtitled news (on silent) throughout the day.
