Wetherspoon’s chief executive John Hutson (centre) is pictured with the chief executive of Gatwick Airport Stewart Wingate (left) and the airport’s commercial director Guy Stephenson at the opening of The Beehive.
The Beehive, at the South Terminal (before security), overlooks the terminal’s recently renovated arrivals area.
Mr Stephenson said: “The Beehive is set at the heart of arrivals where people need a friendly place to wait for and meet loved ones. It reflects the modern, welcoming customer-focused environment we are constantly striving to create.”
John Hutson added: “We are delighted to have opened The Beehive. Wetherspoon has enjoyed great success with its pubs at Gatwick Airport and is proud to be associated with a thriving and successful airport.
“Our pubs are popular with people from across the world who enjoy the wide selection of drinks and food on offer."
