Shift manager Justin Ling completed an epic journey, all in the name of charity, to raise £4,000 for CLIC Sargent.

Justin, who works at The Ivy Wall, in Spalding, visited 133 Wetherspoon pubs in seven days, and collected cash donations en route.

The 1,638-mile car journey included pubs as far south as Southend, east to King’s Lynn, north to Newcastle and west across to Northern Ireland.

Justin is pictured with his wife and travelling companion Julie, being met en route by shift manager Jose Luis Pereira, at The Golden Lion, in Newmarket.

Justin returned to The Ivy Wall with a welcome-home party and a raffle organised by the customers, which raised £800.

Charlotte Turner, shift manager at The Ivy Wall, said: “Congratulations to Justin and Julie. It was a long and exhausting journey and a huge thankyou to all of the local businesses in Spalding for their support. It was a huge community effort by everyone involved.”
