The Clydesdale Inn, in Lanark, is now just £1,500 short of its £12,000 fund-raising target, thanks to the efforts and generosity of staff and customers.
Pub manager Ian Gregory and shift manager Gary Winning completed the 96-mile West Highland Way walk, from Milngavie to Fort William. The pair stayed in tents, hostels and wigwams during the five-day trip.
A ‘Ladies’ Night’ at the pub, with fashion show and raffle, as well as beauty and make-up stalls, generated £2,000, with a race evening also amassing £500.
The funds raised are going towards Ian and shift leader Scott Blacklaw’s Kilimanjaro charity climb in October.
