Staff at two Wetherspoon airport pubs raised a combined £1,750 for CLIC Sargent.

At Wetherspoon Express (Heathrow terminal one, airside), staff undertook a virtual cycle to Dublin, totalling 287 miles. The event, organised by pub manager Simon Bell, raised £1,000.

At The Flying Horse (Gatwick Airport, south terminal, airside), five team members sat in a bath of baked beans, while others donned fancy dress.

Manager Kate Scott said: “Customers showed tremendous generosity to enable us to raise £750.”
