Chris Jenkins, manager at The King’s Head pub and hotel, organised the event for the second year running, at the nearby Monmouth Cricket Club.

The match is contested between the Chairman’s XI, from Monmouth Cricket Club, and Chris’s Manager’s XI, comprisingWetherspoon’s managers and area managers.

Chris, pictured front row, third right, alongside Rachel Williams from CLIC Sargent, said: “We sponsor the local cricket club and, as part of the deal, organise this annual fundraiser.

“We have yet to win the trophy, but the day is a lot of fun and has raised £3,000 over the past two years, which is fantastic.”
