The Queen’s Hotel, in Newport, has smashed the £10,000 mark, in its fund-raising efforts for CLIC Sargent, since it opened just two years ago.
Their latest event amassed £1,168, through sponsorship and donations, during a ‘triathlon’ challenge.
Pub manager Russell Sorrell and his team collectively travelled 200 miles, from 9am opening until 2am closing, on an exercise bike, rowing machine and cross-trainer in the ‘Queen’s Gym’ at the pub, to raise the cash.
