The Three John Scotts pub, in Kingston Upon Hull, marked its 10th birthday with an unusual musical event.
Bell ringers at St Mary’s Lowgate in Hull organised a special event, to celebrate the pubs decade, by ringing a ‘quarter peal’ on the closest Sunday to the anniversary.
Pub manager Mark Platten is pictured (third from left) with the bell ringers (left to right): Andrew and Jackie Bicknell, Robert Wood, Helen Audley, Howard Pickering and ringing master Chris Baxter.
Chris said: “The bell-ringers at Hull have been very supportive of the Three Johns since the opening, just before our bells were restored to working order, and we wanted to mark the anniversary with this special ringing event.”
