Nearby Peerless Brewing Company produced a special dark anniversary ale (6.0% ABV), to mark the occasion – and the pub ran a competition for customers to name the new brew.
Pub regular Gerry Ashton’s winning entry of ‘All In The Balance’ was chosen as the beer’s name.
