It was the town crier’s bell which helped to mark the first anniversary of The Butler’s Bell.

As well as birthday cake and live music by staff and local college students, customers enjoyed First Birthday Ale, brewed especially for the occasion by Slater’s Ales, in Stafford.

‘Name the bear’ and ‘guess the number of sweets in the jar’, courtesy of local sweet shop Mr Simms, also raised £70 for CLIC Sargent.
