Wetherspoon pubs served a special beer, Veto Ale, in support of David Cameron’s stance on the euro.

Lincolnshire’s Batemans Brewery brewed the beer exclusively for the company, using solely British ingredients, including Lincolnshire and Yorkshire malts and Bramling Cross and Challenger hops.

Wetherspoon’s chairman, Tim Martin, said: “Veto Ale is a traditional English bitter and a perfect example of a great beer style which you can drink and feel proud to be British.

“I believe that David Cameron has taken the right decision on the euro – and our customers were able to salute this with a pint of the excellent Veto Ale.”
