Three Wetherspoon pubs in West Lothian have been recognised in the region’s 2011 Best Bar None awards
The James Young, in Bathgate, as well as the two Livingston pubs, The Almond Bank and The NewYearField, all received a gold award in the Best Bar None West Lothian initiative.
The James Young has also been nominated for the national awards, Best Bar None Scotland, which take place in March 2012.
The scheme in West Lothian is run in a partnership among Lothian and Borders Police, West Lothian Council, Lothian & Borders Fire and Rescue Service and voluntary organisations. The aim is to reduce crime and the fear of crime in and around licensed premises.
