All three Wetherspoon pubs in Northampton have been recognised at the 2011 Best Bar None awards.
The Cordwainer, The Eastgate and The Moon on the Square were all accredited at the awards ceremony.
The Moon on the Square was also voted overall winner in the ‘best pub’ category, for the second successive year.
The scheme, launched in 2007, is run in conjunction with Northamptonshire NightSafe and the county’s pubwatch schemes and supported by the Northamptonshire Safer Stronger Communities Board and the local licensed trade.
The initiative actively promotes a safer, more secure environment in which to enjoy a night out in the county and aims to reward those venues which are well managed and take customers’ safety seriously.
Wetherspoon’s general manager, Tom Ball, said: “It is fantastic that all three pubs in orthampton have been accredited – and special congratulations to everyone at The Moon on the Square for their success again this year.”
