All four Wetherspoon pubs in Coventry have achieved a maximum score in the city’s food hygiene inspection reports.

The City Arms, The Earl of Mercia, The Flying Standard and The Spon Gate, all gained the maximum nine out of nine stars.

Managers from each of the pubs were presented with a certificate from Coventry City County Food Safety Team for ‘achieving a high standard of food safety and legal compliance and for good practice being followed’.

Wetherspoon’s area manager, Mark Jones, said: “We place a high priority on quality, standard and safety levels at our pubs.”
