Wetherspoon has won three major awards for the quality and purpose of its staff training and development.
The British Institute of Innkeeping (BII) National Industry Training Awards (NITAs) are recognised as the leading training awards in the pub industry.
It brings Wetherspoon’s tally of NITAs to eight since 2001.
The company won awards for ‘Best development programme in managed estates’, ‘Social responsibilities award where consumption is on the premises’ and ‘Best training scheme run by institutions of further and higher education in partnership with the licensed retail industry’.
BII’s director of marketing, Sue Medhurst, said: “Winning a BII NITA is the ultimate endorsement of training excellence.
“Wetherspoon has once again shown its commitment to first-class training for its staff. It is an excellent achievement to be awarded three NITAs in diverse categories.”
