Pub managers Alan Fowler (left), from Carron Works, in Falkirk, and Scott Love, outside his pub The Earl of Zetland, in Grangemouth, proudly show off their gold awards.
Both pubs were recognised at the Falkirk area’s Best Bar None awards and were among 15 licensed premises, in Falkirk town centre and Stirling city centre, accredited for 2013.
Adopted in Scotland in 2005 and administered by the Scottish Business Resilience Centre, Best Bar None Scotland has strong support from the Scottish Government, Police Scotland, The Scottish Fire & Rescue Service and The Scottish Licensed Trade Association. It encourages licensees to act responsibly and take pride in their premises and surroundings. The reward for this includes the prestige of being part of the awards scheme both locally and nationally. Scott said: “We are both delighted to have achieved the highest-possible gold accreditation in the awards for 2013.”
