A total of 75 jobs has been created at The Romany Rye, Wetherspoon’s pub and hotel in Dereham, Norfolk.
The pub, managed by Ian James (pictured), features a bar and large dining area (which can be separated to accommodate private parties), as well as a beer garden.
The hotel, comprising family rooms, twin rooms and double bedrooms, has 22 bedrooms in all (every one featuring an en suite bathroom). There are also conference room facilities.
The pub and hotel, which cost £2 million to develop, take their name from the book – Romany Rye – written by George Borrow, who was born on the outskirts of Dereham, in 1803.
