Wetherspoon has been voted as the Nation’s Favourite Pub Brand.
It won the accolade at the inaugural Eat Out awards 2013.
The awards, hosted by leading industry magazine Eat Out, are dedicated to the high-street pub and restaurant sector, celebrating the very best business practice.
The award, made in association with Livebookings, was voted for by the public.
The other two nominees among the final three were All Bar One and The Slug and Lettuce.
More than 5,000 consumers voted, to choose their favourite pub brand, with Livebookings canvassing customers via its database, as well as the award being promoted through social media and the Eat Out website.
Wetherspoon’s director of purchasing and logistics, Paul Hine (centre), was presented with the award at the awards ceremony in London.
He said: “We are delighted to win the award.
“It is wonderful that Wetherspoon and its pubs have been voted as the Nation’s Favourite Pub Brand and even more rewarding as it has been voted for by
the public.
“We will continue to offer our customers excellent pubs, with great food and drink, and first-class service, at all times, and look forward to continued success.”
Eat Out’s editor, Clare Riley, said: “It is great to see J D Wetherspoon taking home this award.
“To be voted the nation’s favourite, entirely by consumers, is something to be very proud of.”
