Blackpool-born Julie Rodgers is pictured at The Jolly Tars, Wetherspoon’s pub in Cleveleys, just a few miles from the seaside town.
Julie has previously managed two other Wetherspoon pubs nearby on the Fylde coast: The Trawl Boat Inn, in Lytham St Anne’s, and The Thomas Drummond, in Fleetwood.
The Jolly Tars, originally a nine-strong family team of entertainers, performed in Cleveleys during the wars, regularly attracting huge crowds on the promenades.
The pub has a pavement café-style area at the front of the premises.
Glasswork by local glassblower John Ditchfield and commissioned artwork by Tina Warren feature in the pub, together with information boards and photos about the history and characters of the area.
