Pub manager Paul Squires is pictured at The Jolly Sailor, in Hanham, Bristol.
The pub, which has stood on the site since the early 1800s, has retained its original name.
It is on two floors, with a bar on each, plus a patio area to the rear of the premises.
Photos and information boards about the history and characters of the area are displayed in the pub, together with a wooden relief carving, depicting the old Bristol port, by local artist Ant Beetlestone.
