A former bingo hall, originally built as the Hippodrome cinema, has opened as a Wetherspoon pub in March, Cambridgeshire.
The pub has retained the name – The Hippodrome. Many of the building’s features, dating back more than 80 years, have been restored and retained. These include the ceiling and lighting, as well as reclaimed windows at the front of the premises.
The pub, featuring a beer garden, is managed by Heidi Bridges (pictured).
To tie in with its former life as a cinema, Heidi and her team arranged a James Bond-style opening party for the first night.
