The Frank Hornby

Pub manager Ian Cross is pictured at The Frank Hornby, in Maghull.
Ian was previously at The Lime Kiln, in Liverpool’s city centre.
The pub’s name refers to toy manufacturer Frank Hornby, who was born in Maghull in 1863. In 1899, he began making his toys for his sons and subsequently produced some of the twentieth century’s most popular toys, including Meccano, Hornby Model Railways and Dinky Toys.
The pub, which cost £1.3 million to redevelop, features a beer garden at the front.
