Teamwork secures best bar award

The Wicket Gate, in Chester-le-Street, won the ‘best bar’ category in the town’s inaugural Best Bar None scheme.
It is organised by Durham County Council and Durham Police, through the Chester-le-Street Nightsafe initiative.
The scheme aims to reduce the risk of alcohol-related crime, disorder and harm, by identifying and rewarding responsible participating pubs, bars and nightclubs.
