The annual Kick for CLIC Sargent five-a-side football tournament raised a staggering £269,545.

The tournament, now in its seventh year, saw 2,300 members of staff compete from Wetherspoon pubs across the UK.

After ten regional heats, involving 375 teams, the winners and runners-up from each heat competed in the final at Goals, in Birmingham’s Star City venue.

The team from The Sir Henry Segrave, in Southport, won the final, with their colleagues from The Van Dyke Forum, in Bristol, taking the runners-up position.
