The Potters Wheel, in Swansea, has been named ‘pub of the year’, by its local Campaign for Real Ale branch.
The pub was voted winner in the 2010 awards, for the first time, by members of the Swansea CAMRA branch.
The pub’s manager, Carl Jones, said: “I took over the pub recently, in March, so the previous manager Alan Beddows, now at The Gatekeeper, Cardiff, should take all of the credit for the award."
The pub serves nine real ales at any one time, including an ever-changing choice of four guest ales, from local breweries such as Newmans Brewery in Caerphilly, Vale of Glamorgan Brewery in Barry and Abergavenny-based Tudor Brewery.
