The King’s Head, in Monmouth, is supporting its local cricket club with a new sponsorship deal.
Pub manager Chris Jenkins, pictured right with Monmouth Cricket Club’s chairman Martin Newell, said: “We are delighted to be associated with the cricket club and hope that the sponsorship will help to develop cricket, at all levels, in Monmouth."
The club runs two senior teams in division 2 of the Worcestershire County League, a Sunday team and three junior sides in the Herefordshire Youth League.
Martin Newell said: “We are working hard to improve our equipment and training provision for junior players, with support from The King’s Head being integral to our success.
“We hold our monthly cricket meetings at the pub and are delighted to have a club notice board there, as well as a framed playing shirt on the wall. We believe that our partnership with the pub is a winning combination.”
