Ulster and Ireland rugby star Stephen Ferris is asking cyclists to take on the ultimate Irish cycle challenge, from Ireland’s most northerly point Malin Head to Mizen Head in the south.

The seven-day event will take place during 18–25 May 2013, is open to everyone and will see participants take on this legendary challenge which takes you through stunning Irish countryside.

Stephen said: “I am delighted to be launching CLIC Sargent’s Malin-to-Mizen Cycle Challenge. On average, families in Northern Ireland have to travel 95 miles, up to five times a week, to access the cancer treatment which they need for their sick child. It’s 415 miles from Malin Head to Mizen Head – much less than the journey which many families make every week. This thought will definitely help to spur everyone on as they train for the challenge.”
