Comedian Jo Brand and actor Jimmy Nesbitt were among the fundraisers and guests at The Ledger Building, in London’s Docklands, for a charity event.

Customers and celebrities packed into the pub for The Roller Racing Party – the Herne Hill Velodrome Trust’s pre-season fundraiser.

The event had racing on static rollers, a raffle, DJ, MC and memorabilia auction, including a signed Bradley Wiggins jersey.

John Wall, pub manager at The Ledger Building, said: “It was a fantastic evening, thanks to everyone who took part, and helped the trust to raise an incredible £4,000 on the night.

“All proceeds will go towards the continued development of the velodrome, London’s only remaining 1948 Olympic venue.”
