Sir Isaac Pitman, in Trowbridge, has been voted as ‘The Best Local Pub 2008’, by readers of the town’s newspaper in its ‘Wiltshire’s Best 2008’ awards.
Readers of the Wiltshire Times were given the opportunity to vote for their favourite pub in Trowbridge – and Sir Isaac Pitman came out on top.
The pub, which opened in the Wiltshire town in 1998, is managed by Vag Monoyos, who said: “We are delighted with the award. There are numerous pubs in Trowbridge, so it is great to be judged the best.
A spokesman for the Wiltshire Times said: “Wiltshire’s Best 2008 allows our readers the opportunity to choose their favourite places to visit across the county.
“It is a good way of highlighting the best places in Wiltshire – and Sir Isaac Pitman should be proud of its achievement in being named by our readers as ‘The Best Local Pub 2008’.”
