All three Wetherspoon pubs in Northampton have been recognised in the town’s Best Bar None awards 2010.
The Moon on the Square, The Eastgate and The Cordwainer were all named as accredited premises, at the awards ceremony, each receiving a framed certificate and plaque to be displayed in the pub.
The Moon on the Square was also voted winner of the ‘best pub’ category.
Over 100 guests, representing the accredited venues, the partnership and responsible authorities, gathered for the black-tie event at The Cordwainer, where the awards were presented by Martin Jelley (the assistant chief constable of Northamptonshire Police) and David Carvell (Wetherspoon’s area manager).
Liz Taylor, The Moon on the Square’s manager, said: “We are thrilled to have won the ‘best pub’ award ahead of so many others – it is great recognition for all of our hard work.”
