Rotherham gets a taste of the coast

Customers at The Bluecoat, in Rotherham, enjoyed a range of beers from Suffolk-based brewery Adnams during a mini real-ale festival at the pub.
Pub manager Garry Carr and his team served a selection of seven Adnams ales during the three-day event.
These included Broadside, a dark ruby-red premium bitter (4.7% ABV), Explorer, a light and refreshing blond beer (4.3% ABV), and Oyster Stout, a rich, nutty stout, based on a traditional porter (4.3% ABV).
Garry said: “We already serve a good selection of local beers, but our customers don’t always get the chance to try a broad range from further afield.”
