Wetherspoon has been applauded for meeting globally recognised corporate responsibility standards.
The company has been included in the FTSE4GoodIndex, the responsible investment index, calculated by global index provider FTSE Group.
Wetherspoon has been listed in the index every year since its inception in 2001.
The company’s head of corporate affairs, Caroline Walters, said: “It highlights Wetherspoon’s efforts in working towards environmental sustainability, developing positive relationships with stakeholders and upholding and supporting universal human rights."
“We continue to improve in all of these areas which are of great importance to us, our customers and our suppliers.”
