Pub manager Darren Westwood provided the venue for a Samaritans Coffee Morning, at his pub, in St Helens.

Darren, who runs The Glass House with his wife Jenny, welcomed volunteers from the Warrington, Halton and St Helens Samaritans, as well as Councillor Tom Hargreaves, Mayor of St Helens for the awareness raising event.

Darren said: “The volunteers do a fantastic job and we were only too pleased to help out with their event.”

Sam Buckley, deputy direct – outreach, Warrington, Halton and St Helens Samaritans, said: “A huge thank you to Darren, and his team at The Glass House, he agreed to the idea without hesitation.

“It was a very successful event and all the staff were amazing, helpful and accommodating.”
