Customers at four Wetherspoon pubs across south Warwickshire were spoilt for choice during a local beer festival.

The Benjamin Satchwell and Jug & Jester, both in Leamington Spa, The Golden Bee, in Stratford-upon-Avon, and The Thomas Lloyd, in Warwick, all staged an eight-day LocAle festival.

Each pub showcased a selection of beers from five local breweries, as well as each hosting a meet-the-brewer night.

The ales available during the event were sourced from The Grainstore Brewery (in Oakham), Leamington Spa-based Warwickshire Beer Company, Purity Brewing Company (from Great Alne), Byatt’s Brewery (of Coventry) and Stourbridge-based Sadler’s Ales Brewery.

Rob Browning, pub manager at The Benjamin Satchwell and festival organiser, said: “The festival was a celebration of local produce and a chance for customers to sample some great ales made right here in our region.”
