Cross Keys, in Peterhead, achieved gold in the regional Best Bar None awards 2012.
The pub was one of 13 premises in Buchan recognised, with either a gold or silver award, for their work to promote good practice throughout the industry over the last year.
Aberdeenshire has been involved in the scheme since 2007, which is supported by Aberdeenshire Community Safety Partnership, the Scottish Business Crime Centre and sponsored by Diageo.
Pub manager Michael McMillan (pictured back right) was invited along with other licensees, to a Licensing Board Meeting to be commended on the award, by members of the North Aberdeenshire Licensing Board.
