The Mail Rooms, in Ross-on-Wye, showed its support for a local youth charity, by donating wine for a fund-raising evening.

The Herefordshire-based charity Hope Support Services staged a ‘Come Dine with Hope’ event, which saw the charity’s young people team up with five top chefs to cook a four-course feast for 80 local business people and friends at Bishopswood House.

The charity offers support to young people who have a family member diagnosed with a life-threatening illness – from the moment of diagnosis and for as long as needed.

Ryan West, Wetherspoon’s area manager, said: “It was great to help a very worthwhile cause.”

Sue Trevethan, Hope’s founder and CEO, said: “I’d like to say a huge thankyou to Wetherspoon which agreed to help us out, without hesitation. It was a very successful and inspirational event.”
