A mini ale festival at The Milson Rhodes, in Didsbury, showcased beers from five breweries.
The three-day event offered a selection of three ales from each of the breweries, one chosen by the breweries (brewer’s choice), one selected by the pub managers (manager’s choice) and the other voted for by the regular customers (regulars’ choice).
Hawkshead Brewery hosted a meet-the-brewer evening on the launch night, with food-pairing and cheese platters.
The brewery also donated £1 to CLIC Sargent, from every pint of house ale sold, raising £50.
A question-and-answer session with Jim Flynn, from the local Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) branch, was followed by meet-the-brewer sessions with Wincle and Bridgehouse breweries.
An ‘ale fest after-party’ featured meet-the-brewer events with Red Willow and Ilkley breweries.
