Phil drops in for The One Show
Article date: 12 Oct 2011

Former England cricketer and television presenter Phil Tufnell is pictured with pub manager Paula Buckley at her pub, The Ford Madox Brown in Manchester.

The pub is named after one of the most radical painters of Victorian Britain and a one-time resident of Victoria Park, a suburb south of the outlet.

Phil was filming part of a series of art features for BBC’s The One Show, called ‘Mile from a Masterpiece’, where the team trawl the country looking for all forms of amazing pieces of artwork in the most unusual places.

Phil visited the pub, an apt location to film a piece to camera about the artist, whilst featuring the 12 giant murals by Ford Madox Brown, at the nearby Manchester Town Hall.
