Shift leader Dale Parkey (right) and shift manager Dave Hardy are pictured setting off on a sponsored run for charity.

The pair, from The Up Steps Inn, in Oldham, took part in a local half-marathon known as Milltown to Moors, hosted by Oldham Community Leisure and the Citizens Advice Bureau, raising £441.61 for Oldham’s Royal British Legion branch.

Flag-bearers Ron Oakes (left) and Peter Shaw, from The Royal Warwickshire Artillery Fusiliers Oldham Branch, set the 300 runners on their way.

The Up Steps Inn hosted a post-race buffet for the participants, with Greenfield Brewery renaming an ale ‘Milltown to Moors’, helping towards the Royal British Legion’s fund.
