The Brocket Arms, in Wigan, was the venue for a local charity event.
‘Joining Jack’ staged part of a raising awareness day, with fancy-dress costumes and information about the Wigan-based charity, at the pub.
Andrew and Alex Johnson’s four-year-old son Jack was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), in October 2011.
There is no cure at the moment and they want to find one. They are raising awareness and money to fund research to find effective treatments for DMD.
Danielle Stanistreet, shift manager at The Brocket Arms, said: “The charity is very close to a lot of local people’s lives, so it was great that we could help with the event.”
