Ten pubs in Somerset gave customers the opportunity to enjoy a range of ciders and ales from across the county, during a Somerset cider and ale festival.
The 12-day festival took place at The Dragon Inn and Cabot Court Hotel (both in Weston-super-Mare), The Reeds Arms (Burnham-on-Sea), The Carnival Inn (Bridgwater), The Duke of Wellington (Minehead), The Coal Orchard and The Perkin Warbeck (both in Taunton), The Cerdic (Chard), The William Dampier (Yeovil) and The Lantokay (Street).
The pubs offered 12 ciders and three ales during the event, all sourced from producers and brewers in Somerset.
Among those on offer were Thatchers Traditional and Heritage, Rich’s Cider, Shepton Mallet Cider Mill’s Somerset and Festival VAT, Exmoor Ales Silver Stallion, Wills Neck from Quantock Brewery, as well as Somerset Special (4.8% ABV) from RCH Brewery, brewed exclusively for the festival.
Jye Dixey, pub manager at The Reeds Arms and festival organiser, said: “The festival gave customers the opportunity to sample local ciders and ales – and people enjoyed our fantastic selection.”
