Pub manager Gordon Mitchell (front, second left) hosted the launch of a local initiative at his pub The Newyearfield.

The Livingston outlet hosted the event, which saw the introduction of a new charity venture, in and around West Lothian called ‘Peel 2 Save’.

The charity discount card scheme supports local charities and good causes with a fundraising opportunity, promotes local businesses and offers the local community discounts and promotions in their neighbourhood.

Gordon said: “We were pleased to offer to host the launch at the pub and get involved with the scheme, which raises money for local charities.

“It is a new idea and one which supports the communities in West Lothian, so we wanted to do our bit to help.”
