The Shay Wake staged a 10-day Lancashire beer festival, featuring ales from numerous local breweries.

The festival was part of a series of monthly real-ale events at the pub in Shaw, near Oldham.

The outlet showcased nine beers from Burnley-based Moorhouse’s Brewery, including Pendle Witches Brew (5.1% ABV), Black Panther (4.8% ABV), Witches Cauldron (4.2% ABV), Blond Witch (4.5% ABV) and Black Cat (3.4% ABV).

The festival also featured ales from several other Lancashire breweries, including Ossett Brewery, Daniel Thwaites and Phoenix Brewery.

Duncan Riding, pub manager at The Shay Wake (pictured front with colleagues), said: “This festival was a great opportunity for our customers to enjoy a selection of ales from across the county and for us to support our local breweries.”
