Pub customer Daniel Lambert (pictured) walked away with a cheque for £500, the top prize in a singing competition at his local pub.

The Square Sail staged the Lincoln’s Got Talent contest, over 10 weeks, with up to 18 acts competing in the heats, two semi-finals and 10 singers in the final. Daniel won the final sing-off, with his rendition of the Kings of Leon hit Sex on Fire.

The pub’s manager, Becca Hooton, said: “The final was a fantastic night, the pub was absolutely packed and the standard of singing was amazing.

“We also managed to raise £500 on the night for CLIC Sargent, with a grand draw, which was brilliant.”
