Two Wetherspoon pubs in Devon have joined forces to help a local school with funds to re-build their playground.
Staff at The Talk of the Town and The Isaac Merritt, both in Paignton, have staged fancy dress nights, sponsored bike rides, cake sales and sponsored runs to raise £702 so far.
The funds have purchased some ‘chin up bars’, part of the equipment installed in the refurbishment of the Foundation Stage playground, at the nearby Curledge Street School.
The pubs are continuing in their fundraising efforts to donate further money to purchase a ‘clatter bridge’.
