A total of 54 pub managers and head office staff received their professional diploma, whilst an additional 13 gained their BSC honours degree in Leisure and Retail Management, having already achieved their professional diploma.
Students study for the diploma, held in association with Leeds Metropolitan University, over an 18 month period, whilst continuing with their work within their pub or at head office.
The modules are; People, Standards and Finance.
Wetherspoon’s qualifications manager, Yolande Edwards, said: “We are proud of each and every one of our staff members who has graduated during the past five years.
“The diploma is a great benefit to both themselves and the company and we look forward to even more of our staff studying for the diploma in the years to come.”
Wetherspoon’s legal and personnel director, Su Cacioppo, added: “The diploma allows individuals to look at their own pub as well as the overall company in a new light and to make positive changes within their own pub and at head office.
“It also allows them to study for free and gives them a real sense of achievement.”
