Pub manager Dan Proctor proudly displays his gold award, presented by the Safer Hart Best Bar None Scheme 2012.

Dan, who runs The Prince Arthur, in Fleet, was presented with the certificate by Councillor Nippy Singh, Hart District Council Community Safety, at an awards ceremony. Wetherspoon’s general manager Crawford Scott was also in attendance.

The Prince Arthur was one of just eight premises in Fleet which achieved accreditation for 2012, finishing top with a gold award.

All pubs, bars or night clubs which apply for Best Bar None accreditation are assessed against a national standard and the top three awarded a bronze, silver or gold award.

Dan said: “We are absolutely delighted to have achieved the accreditation and also to be given the highest, gold award.

“We place a high priority on staff and customers’ safety at the pub – and it has been recognised with this award.”
