Almost 6,000 drinkers had the chance to try real ale thanks to heritage brewer Greene King, which carried out The Real Ale Sampling Campaign, in 200 Wetherspoon pubs.

Drinkers were offered three different ales in 1/3-pint measures and also given the opportunity to show their knowledge or learn more about how real ale is brewed, through the real-ale quiz. The winning entry to the quiz was by Mahendra Parmar, a drinker from The Square Peg, in Birmingham, who won an iPad.
